Support for Jeannine and family during Treatment

My sister in law Jeannine was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast cancer. This type of breast cancer accounts for a very small percentage and is very aggressive. This Go Fund me account will help her and her family by relieving some of the financial burdens that come along with getting all the treatments necessary to fight this.  Jeannine has already gone through a series of tests that included a mammogram, biopsy of the affected area, Lymph node biopsy, MRI, Pet scan and blood work. Based off all the results Jeannine’s Oncology specialist has come up with a plan.

 Jeannine will start Chemo on January 23rd (her daughter Angie’s  9th birthday ) . She will receive an infusion of four different Chemo therapies every 3 weeks for 4.5 months. The drugs she will be receiving are Taxotere , Carboplatin and two others by the names of Perjeta and Herceptin that are for a specific marker Jeannine has called HER2 positive . After the 4.5 months Jeannine will undergo a radical Mastectomy followed by radiation and another round of the HER2 drugs that are given via infusion every 3 weeks for another 7 months.
 
Jeanine is seriously the best! Even through all of this she has maintained her sense of humor and is handling shit as usual.  My hope is that through this account she can focus on what’s important during this crazy time and not worry about financial burdens. I will continue to update you all with Jeannine’s progress as she goes.
