My Grandmother, Jean, has been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) about a year and a half ago. It is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of muscle control. The disease gets worse over time and basically you lose nearly all of your normal functions.

Anyone who knows my Grandma will say that she is one of the kindest people they've ever met. She's always done whatever she could for others without expecting anything in return. Til this very day, she's more concerned for others than herself.

ALS has taken nearly all use of her arms now and is making normal daily tasks very challenging. I have been involved in arranging for her to get care from her team of doctors, but as of last week, she will be needing much more support going forward. I am reaching out to anyone for assistance for helping her transition to getting more care and support. I am in no way expecting the goal amount, but anything helps.
