Dear Friends, Family and Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend Jay Pikul at 51 years olds. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years, Dana, and their three children: James, a junior at Penn State University; Alexa, a senior at Council Rock North; and Ryan, a junior at Council Rock North.

Jay dedicated his professional life to education, teaching at Princeton High School since 2005. Over the years, he also served as the baseball coach at both the middle and high school levels, impacting countless students and athletes with his passion and mentorship.

Jay was a sports-loving, fun, and kind-hearted person who always had a smile on his face and a positive word to share. He was an incredible role model and was deeply loved by his children and by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Jay’s love and pride for his wife and kids were always on display. Jay coached his kids in baseball, soccer, and basketball, and was always ready to join in. Whether it was the corn hole league, kickball league, or making wine with his Circle of Friends everyone could count on Jay to be there with a smile.

Jay was involved in a car accident and suffered a heart attack early Tuesday morning. He was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital. After two days there, it was decided that being flown to UPenn late Wednesday night would give Jay the best chance for a positive outcome. He was later transferred to a second UPenn facility on Saturday, with the idea that they could provide even more options for survival. It was here that Jay sadly passed away with this family surrounding him with love.

Adding to this heartbreaking situation, Dana was laid off from her job on December 31, 2025, after 14 years of dedicated service. The Pikul family is now facing overwhelming emotional and financial challenges.

We are asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. If you are able, please consider donating to help support Dana and the kids. Any amount truly helps and means more than words can express. Sharing this page and keeping the family in your thoughts is just as appreciated.

Thank you for surrounding the Pikul family with so much love and support.
