It’s incredibly hard to put this kind of pain into words. What should have been an ordinary day turned out to be a sudden and unexpected loss for my cousin, John Paul De Gracia Fojas and aunt, Lutche De Gracia.
Due to a heartbreaking crash that involved a semi-truck driver on Highway 99 in Lodi, we are grieving Clark James Fojas (20) and Peter Joshua Fojas (16), which has left my cousin JayP (19) as an only child with his mom still hospitalized in the ICU.
No words can describe the pain of losing your immediate family so suddenly and senselessly. We are creating this fundraiser to help support JayP and his mom, as they have to adjust to their new everyday norm moving forward. Funds raised will go towards funeral and memorial services, medical expenses, helping my hardworking aunt take time away from working both of her jobs during her long road ahead to recovery, and many other unexpected financial burdens.
If you knew the whole family involved, you know how deeply each of them were loved and how much my aunt Lutche sacrificed to give her boys better lives. Any amount, no matter how small, will help provide comfort and support as the family begins to grieve and begin the difficult process of healing.
