Jayden is my 18-year-old son, and he has shown incredible strength his entire life. Born with congenital heart disease—Tetralogy of Fallot—he had his first open-heart surgery at just one month old. By age seven, after three open-heart surgeries, he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH). Through every setback, Jayden has faced life with courage and hope.
Today, his condition has reached a critical stage.
Jayden is no longer responding to PAH medications. In recent months, he developed ascites caused by right-sided heart failure. Although doctors have drained fluid and placed him on aggressive diuretics, the fluid continues to return.
Due to the severity of his pulmonary hypertension, a heart and double lung transplant is not an option. We have been told he would not survive the surgery.
His care team has now involved the Quality of Life team, and our focus is keeping Jayden comfortable, peaceful, and surrounded by love.
Funds raised will help cover:
- medical care and comfort needs
- supplies and equipment
- household expenses while I care for him on a single income
- travel and related costs.
Any remaining funds will be set aside for funeral and celebration of life expenses when the time comes. While we continue to trust that God has the final say, Jayden does not have life insurance, and we want to be prepared.
If you feel led to donate, share, or pray for our family, we are deeply grateful. Every act of kindness helps us focus on loving Jayden during this precious time. Thank you for standing with us.
