On May 10th, our family experienced an unimaginable loss when Javon Townsend, lovingly known as “J Boog,” was tragically killed at a prom after-party event. Javon was only 17 years old, but in that short time, he touched so many lives with his fun, caring, and loving spirit. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his presence always shined wherever he went. Javon’s passing has left a deep void in our hearts and in our community.

As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we are also faced with the unexpected burden of funeral and burial costs. Unfortunately, there was no life insurance in place, and our family is struggling to cover these expenses while trying to honor Javon’s memory in the way he deserves.
