With an extremely heavy heart, I am asking for support for the family of my 15-year-old cousin, Javits Frimpong, whose life was tragically taken far too soon.

October 28 marked exactly one year since Javits came to the United States from Ghana, full of hope for a brighter future and a better education. He lived in New York with his father, who worked tirelessly to support him and provide everything he needed to succeed in school. Just one day after reaching that milestone, Javits’s young life was suddenly and senselessly taken from him.

Our family is devastated by this unimaginable loss. No father should have to bury his child, especially under such heartbreaking circumstances. We are raising funds to help his father and our family with funeral, burial, and other unexpected expenses during this incredibly difficult time.
