My name is Vanessa, and I am reaching out on behalf of my husband, Javier, and our family during an incredibly challenging time. On Monday morning, Javier suffered a ruptured aneurysm, which led to a subarachnoid hemorrhage—a serious bleed in his head. I called 911 immediately, and he was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. By a stroke of luck, a neurologist happened to be nearby in the ER and quickly recognized the severity of Javier’s condition, ordering urgent treatment that may have saved his life. Javier underwent a procedure to stop the bleeding, and a drain was inserted to relieve the buildup of fluid in his head. He remains under heavy sedation in the ICU, and we have been told to expect at least three to four weeks in intensive care, followed by a month or more in rehabilitation. The road ahead is uncertain, and we do not know when Javier will be able to return to work. Our entire family has been by our side and many friends who have reached out to help in any way they can. We are fortunate to have several medical professionals in our family, who have helped us understand Javier’s condition and care. The outpouring of support, from visits to home-cooked meals, has been a source of comfort and strength. However, with Javier as our primary breadwinner, the financial strain of medical bills and household expenses is overwhelming. We are asking for help to cover these costs for the next few months while Javier focuses on healing. Any support—whether through donations, sharing our story, or words of encouragement—means the world to us. Thank you for standing with our family during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.
