On Saturday, February 28th, I will be saying goodbye to my dearest friend, Jasper.
After months of running labs and ultrasounds, I found out a few weeks ago that my elderly cat Jasper is suffering from cancer that has attacked his liver and kidneys, along with a mass in his intestines. With thanks to the wonderful team at Catonsville Cat Clinic's support, I've been able to keep him comfortable for weeks longer than expected, something I'm eternally grateful for... but it's clear we've come to the end, in terms of his quality of life.
Needless to say, the months of tests, medication refills, an unexpected move, and my own ongoing medical costs with the high-deductible plan I have through insurance, money is very tight this month... with Jasper's euthanasia costs and wanting a private cremation to have his ashes returned to me, I am humbly asking for help -- something I don't often do or take lightly. Anything you can offer would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
Loving Jasper and having his companionship has been one of the greatest blessings and honors of my life. Helping him move on with the most compassion, love, and dignity is the least I can do. Thank you for reading and for your consideration during this difficult time.
