Many of you are aware of Jason going on medical leave in January 2023.

After he was diagnosed with cancer of the hypopharynx (throat), he underwent laryngectomy which included permanently removing the voice box and a complete reconstruction of the neck. The surgery took 13 hours to complete and required a 7 day stay in the hospital. A couple months after the surgery he went through immunotherapy treatment and radiation to the neck. It was brutal to say the least.

Unfortunately, he recently learned that the cancer has returned to his throat and has spread to his lungs.

During the short time Jason was at Biotheranostics, he was friendly, positive, hard working and just a great colleague to work with.
