Hi everyone,
My name is Brock Beeney. I’m starting this GoFundMe for my brother, Jason Beeney and his family. Tragically, their house burned down today, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They lost furniture, clothes, and a lot of their belongings.
Many of you in the hiking community may know Jason (Stay Gold) as a dedicated trail angel on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Out of his deep passion for the wilderness and his generous spirit, Jason has selflessly hosted over 107 PCT hikers in his home over the years, providing them with a safe place to rest, meals, and support. He also regularly delivers water to trailheads to help thirsty hikers in need. Jason has given so much to the trail community without ever asking for anything in return.
Now, it’s our turn to support him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Recovering from a total house fire is overwhelming—replacing essentials, finding temporary housing, and rebuilding their lives will take time. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping them get back on their feet: covering immediate needs like clothing, toiletries, temporary lodging, and eventually rebuilding their home.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your networks, especially in the PCT and hiking communities. Your kindness and support mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping a true giver in his time of need.
With gratitude,
Brock Beeney
