Support for Jared Brown & his Service dog

Donation protected
I am Jared D. Brown, and I have epilepsy.  I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2013 after eleven years of being either undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.  Since being correctly diagnosed, I have had two brain surgeries and have a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) device implanted. None of the procedures have been effective in diminishing my seizures. When I have a seizure, my service dog will be able to: respond to help me in methods it will be trained in, contact help, bring me my phone, when possible, break my falls, get help from family members, friends or others nearby, help me with mobility/stability when needed, push a life-alert button that alerts others that I have had a seizure, pick up items such as my wallet or phone, and provide a sense of security for me and my family.  All of the mentioned activities demonstrate how a service dog will improve my daily life.  I am looking forward to the companionship of a dog.  I owned a miniature  Schnauzer named Hurley that died a year ago, I did not realize the gap his absence would leave.  I am looking forward to healthy companionship and emotional support my new dog will bring.  I am even looking forward to the trips outside to do the doggy care required.
I will use the donations in several ways.  The money will allow me to buy a puppy, and get all the needed vaccinations, etc., and required veterinarian care of now and in the future. I am working with a company called Dog Training Elite.  The initial training requires that I go to Sandy, Utah, for eight Saturdays and then to the facility in Salt Lake City, Utah for four more weeks.  After that the trainer will come to our home for training sessions.  My goal is to have my dog trained to do all of the skills that the company provides and that I have the funding for.  I am hoping to get the "Platinum" plan that includes 12 one-on-one sessions, and in-home training sessions.  It also includes one year of group park training sessions.
The Platinum is about $3000 dollars for the initial training.  My hope is to buy a doodle mix, such as a golden doodle or labradoodle.  They typically cost between $2500 to $3500.  I prefer this choice over buying a fully trained puppy.  I like the idea of knowing the dog "from the beginning".
I would like to raise about $12,000 dollars.  This will allow me to pay for all costs involved with getting, training, and providing for the dog without needing to rely on my family for financial support.
I would like to keep a small balance in my account for unanticipated expenses, and I will donate excess funds to the Epilepsy Foundation, which is a non-profit located in Maryland.
The Education First Credit Union is working with me to handle donations in an account designated for that purpose.
I will be very cautious with the use of donations.  This will be a game-changer in my life and folks will never know how much it means to me.  Thank you in advance.
