Sonja Beebe gained her wings on January 30 at 4:22 PM which in true Sonja fashion also happened to be her birthday April (4th) 22, 1964. She chose her moment well.

Sonja was a true warrior for the Lord and for herself. She battled health challenges for many years with grit, faith, and more stubbornness than most of us could manage. She was ready to go home, and heaven was exactly where she wanted to be.

Her passing was peaceful and beautiful. She was surrounded by love; her mother, her daughter Jaqui, her sister Kim, her cousin Karren, and her bonus children, Loren and Crystal. As we singing, “I can only imagine” by MercyMe we truly believe the Lord came down and raised her up.

Right to the very end, Sonja was still Sonja telling the doctors how to behave and how to do their jobs. We honored her wishes, of course.

And also in true Sonja fashion, she left her Jacqui very specific list of instructions without leaving the resources to meet them. We will be setting up a GoFundMe in the coming days, and if you feel led to help, we would be deeply grateful.

Most of all we ask for prayers for Jaqui for strength, peace, and guidance as she settles her mom’s affairs and learns to walk this next chapter without her

We are comforted knowing Sonja is pain-free rejoicing with the Lord and undoubtedly watching over all of us (and probably still giving us instructions).
