Support For Medical Expenses of Janet Lainez

Hello I am Aly and I started this fundraiser with the hopes that the community can come together and support our dear friend Janet Lainez.

She is a wonderful mother, wife, friend, and sister in Christ. She is a hard worker and can always lighten up a room with her presence and smile.

At the beginning of April she received some unexpected news: she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Cancer. As a result of her severe symptoms, she immediately stopped working and needed to begin the treatment recommended by her doctors. This includes radiation, chemoteraphy, and surgeries, among other drastic lifestyle changes. Her insurance alone has an $8,000 deductible, and they are having to pay over $500 a month just to begin treatment, which is taking a significant toll on them as well.

There is a difficult and long path ahead, and despite the disheartening news, Janet is still in good spirits, trusting in God. The family is currently making the necessary adjustments, but are already feeling the financial tolls that these important treatments are taking. Some of the significant changes include that she can no longer work in the family business, and they are having to replace her position. This is hurting them financially in covering a variety of expenses, including normal household bills.

It is hard enough to deal with the physical and emotional trauma of having a Stage 3 Cancer, which is a life or death situation, but to have to be worried about financial concerns as well at a time like this complicates matters. Her husband is unable to accompany her to radiation treatment because he has to keep income coming into the household, and we are hoping that we can come together and help alleviate this already difficult time, by making it a little more bearable for the family.
