On the night of January 14, 2026, my 15-year-old sister, Janelle, was involved in a hit-and-run accident while she was at church. At this time, we do not know exactly what happened, but we do know that whoever struck her left her at the scene without helping. She was later found severely injured and rushed to receive emergency medical care.
She suffered multiple serious and life-threatening injuries, including a skull fracture, bruised lungs, damage to her liver and intestines, and a chipped tooth. Because of the extent of her internal injuries, she had to undergo emergency surgery that same night, which was critical in saving her life.
Currently, Janelle is recovering but remains in critical condition, where she is being closely monitored by her medical team. While we are incredibly grateful that she survived, her recovery will take time, and she has a long road ahead of her both physically and emotionally.
The funds raised will go directly toward supporting her health and recovery, including medical care, treatments, medications, rehabilitation, follow-up appointments, and other health-related needs as they arise. Our main focus right now is ensuring she has everything she needs to heal physically and emotionally. Any donation, no matter the amount, means more to us than we can express. If you are unable to give, we kindly ask that you share this to help spread awareness.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this unimaginable time. Our family is deeply grateful!
