I’m reaching out to share a deeply personal and urgent request on behalf of someone truly special: Jan Michael Saavedra. Michael is a 29-year-old nurse at Neepawa Health Centre, a devoted caregiver, and a passionate travel nurse who has dedicated his life to helping others.

On November 15, Michael’s life was forever changed. While driving home, he was involved in a devastating collision with a semi-truck on Highway 16. He was first rushed to Portage la Prairie Hospital and later transferred to Health Sciences, where he has undergone extensive medical care and multiple surgeries.

Michael’s injuries are severe and life-altering. He has endured four strokes, multiple facial fractures, a dissection of his right internal carotid artery, rib fractures from L1 to L4, and a fracture in his left femur. Despite all this, Michael’s resilience and dedication to caring for others have never wavered, and he continues to fight courageously every day.

Now, Michael needs our help. As he begins the long and difficult journey toward recovery, we’re reaching out to ask for your support. during this incredibly challenging time.
