On July 7, 2026, beloved husband and father Jamie Neese died of a unexpected medical event.
Jamie leaves behind his wife Kelly and their 12 year-old daughter Mackenzie, who only just graduated from elementary school last month. They are heartbroken.
We hope our community can come together to help Jamie's family stay afloat as they face the difficult days ahead.
Jamie had friends all over the world and from all phases of his life. From his childhood in Maryvale Arizona, to his student days at Loyola Marymount, to his decades working as a crew member in the art department on various film and television projects.
Jamie was loved by everyone he knew. He was known for his big hugs and fun stories. He loved talking about Kelly and Mackenzie’s accomplishments and how cute his dog Poppy was.
Jamie was an amazing father; funny, loving and devoted. As a huge film buff, he loved taking Mackenzie to the movies, they shared a big love for superhero movies and he was looking forward to the day she could finally watch Deadpool with him.
Jamie was an adoring husband to Kelly, and he, in turn, was the love of her life. After meeting on the set of "Without A Trace", they were together for 15 years. Though they'd already shared a child, a dog, and a mortgage for almost two decades, they finally made it "official" 18 months ago, tying the knot in Vegas the day after Christmas, 2024.
Like many in the film industry, the last several years have been extremely difficult for Jamie and Kelly, with long stretches of unemployment, which depleted their life's savings. During this time, Kelly was also diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy and radiation. Throughout, Jamie was the rock that kept both Kelly and Mackenzie on steady ground.
Recently, things were looking up. Kelly completed cancer treatment, and Jamie had found a great job working on "The Night Agent" that would get them back on their feet and allow them to stay in their home so Mackenzie could go to middle school with her lifelong friends.
Jamie's sudden and unexpected death is a devastating blow to a family that has already been through so much in the last few years. This tragedy has left Kelly and Mackenzie without their rock, and without their family's sole breadwinner.
We are hoping to raise enough funds to cover immediate costs and see them through the next 6 months, so Kelly can cover her bills as she continues to look for work while adjusting to life as a solo parent to their daughter. Most importantly, we hope to give them some breathing room as they grieve the man they adored.
All funds will go to Kelly and Mackenzie to help cover their significant immediate needs, including funeral expenses, legal expenses, health insurance, mortgage payments, bills, groceries, and grief counseling.
All donations of any amount are deeply appreciated. We understand that times are tough for many families. If you're unable to contribute, sharing this fundraiser on Facebook, Instagram and with your friends and family is another meaningful way to support Kelly and Mackenzie.
This fundraiser is being organized with Kelly's permission by Heather Croke, Kelly’s longtime friend from high school.
