After being diagnosed with gestational diabetes in 2003, Jamie’s health rapidly declined, leading to type 1 diabetes, kidney failure, and a rare condition called calciphylaxis. Despite enduring dialysis three times a week, losing her sight, and being confined to a wheelchair, Jamie remained a light to those around her. She always found ways to help others, and her warmth touched everyone she met. Jamie created lasting memories with friends and community members throughout her life in Sisters, touching countless lives with her generosity and compassion.

Jamie’s passing has left her family not only grieving but also facing significant financial burdens. Years of medical bills, the costs of probate, and the expenses that come with caring for a loved one through such a long and difficult illness have created a heavy load for her family. Her sister, who is serving as the personal representative for Jamie’s probate, is now tasked with managing these responsibilities while also mourning the loss of someone so dear.
