James was a loving husband, hard-working father, compassionate grandfather, and a larger than life presence in his family's lives.
His final chapter began with feeling weaker and more tired than usual. A few weeks after the birth of his second granddaughter, James decided to go to the Doctor to try and get answers. What he would find out was that he had signs of a pulmonary embolism and would need to go to the hospital as soon as possible. James spent the first of what would turn into four months in the hospital waiting for a diagnosis and getting weaker by the day. It was ultimately determined that he had Hodgkin's Lymphoma. An unexpected delay in receiving a diagnosis meant that treatment attempts were delayed and ultimately abandoned by the medical staff when they deemed James to be too sick to treat and invoked hospice services instead. He passed away at home after a long uphill battle. Throughout his life, James always put his family above himself and worked tirelessly as a civil engineer. He was a devout Christian, and his faith guided his actions and values. In his free time, he fixed cars and repaired homes, always lending a hand to those in need.
His sudden illness and the challenges he faced in the hospital left his family with significant medical bills and funeral expenses. James's wife is now navigating these financial burdens while grieving the loss of her husband. The funds raised through this campaign will help cover the costs of his medical care and funeral, providing much-needed relief during this difficult time.
James was always the go-to person who would do whatever he could to help those who needed it. In his passing, his family is asking for support to help ensure the expenses for his hard-fought medical battle can be paid. Your kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference for his loved ones.
