My name is james, and for the past 40 years, I have called this community my home. I spent 25 of those years as a volunteer firefighter, serving as fire chief for 12 years. Giving back and helping others has always been a big part of my life, and I have always tried to stand on my own two feet.

Recently, I was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. I am now on the transplant list, but the journey has been incredibly challenging. My dialysis center and doctors are each an hour and a half away, and every appointment means a long drive and more expenses. I just went to the dentist yesterday, and the costs for all the required checkups and treatments are adding up fast. My retirement fund, which I worked hard to build, has nearly been depleted by these ongoing medical and travel expenses.

I have never asked for help like this before, but I am reaching out because I truly need support to get through this difficult time.
