In 2022, I was diagnosed with throat cancer, and my life changed dramatically. Since then, I have undergone two rounds of radiation, a major operation that resulted in a stroke, and immunotherapy. While these treatments have slowed the cancer, it remains very aggressive and has started to spread. I have lost 100 pounds, and due to a hiatal hernia, I was unable to have a feeding tube implanted. Before my diagnosis, I was working part-time, and my wife was running her own business. Now, I have not been able to work for almost three years, and my wife’s business has suffered as she provides me with round-the-clock care. Our children have helped us as much as they can, but we are still falling behind on our expenses.
The financial strain has been overwhelming. We are struggling to keep up with both medical bills and basic household expenses. We have managed to get by using zero-interest credit cards, but two of those are now coming due, adding even more pressure to our situation. The uncertainty of what comes next is difficult, but we are doing our best to stay hopeful and focused on each day.
Throughout this experience, we have kept our eyes focused on God's promises. Our faith and our prayer group have seen us through this trial. Any help from friends, family, or anyone moved by our story would be a true blessing. Your support will help us cover urgent medical and household costs, and allow us to focus on my health and my family’s well-being. Thank you for considering helping us during this challenging time.
