My daughter Jalaina is just 8 years old, and we came to the hospital expecting a simple adenoids and tonsils removal surgery. Instead, our world was turned upside down when she became very sick with pneumonia. On top of this, Jalaina is also living with heart failure, making her fight even more challenging. Watching her struggle and fight as hard as she can has been heartbreaking, but I am so proud of her strength and courage every single day.

The unexpected complications have brought on a wave of medical bills and travel expenses as we do everything we can to support Jalaina’s recovery. Every day is a new challenge, but we are holding onto hope and doing our best to stay strong for her.
