Support for Jake’s Medical Journey

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals,

I am reaching out to ask for your support for my dear friend, Jake, who is currently facing a challenging and unexpected health crisis.

Jake, who traveled from the Philippines to Canada on a tourist visa as a reward trip sponsored by his employer, was supposed to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

However, on March 21, 2025, during his stay in Regina, Saskatchewan, he suffered a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. This incident was completely unexpected, as Jake has no history of seizures or any known medical conditions.

Since his admission, he has undergone a series of tests to determine the cause of the seizure. A CT scan revealed multiple lesions on the left frontal lobe of his brain.

Jake was discharged on March 28 with continuous medication, but unfortunately, his condition remains unstable. Before his discharge, he was advised to undergo another MRI scan, which is scheduled for the last week of June if he decides to take the test here in Canada.

On March 31, he had to return to the emergency room due to a persistent and severe headache he experienced at home. While waiting in the ER, he also vomited. A repeat CT scan was performed, which showed the same results as before. He was discharged yesterday, April 1, with additional medications. However, his condition has changed—he is now much more sensitive to movement, making it difficult for him to do anything other than lie down.

As Jake is on a tourist visa, he is not eligible for public healthcare coverage. The most heartbreaking part is that he does not have travel insurance, making his medical expenses overwhelming. While his employer has offered financial support, it is not enough to cover his hospital bills, treatments, and continuous care.

Adding to the urgency of his situation, Jake’s visa is only valid until May 6, 2025. With limited time left in Canada, he faces significant challenges in accessing further medical care and making arrangements for his ongoing treatment.

Jake is a hardworking and kind-hearted person who has always been there for others. Now, he needs our help. We humbly ask for your prayers and any financial assistance you can offer. No amount is too small—every cent will go directly towards his medical expenses and recovery.

Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with your network. Your kindness and generosity will make a difference in Jake’s battle during this difficult time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
