Support for Jade & her family after losing everything

Hey everyone,

I can't believe I'm writing this.. My sister Jade, her husband Jared and their three kids lost their home in a house fire yesterday morning.

Everyone’s safe, thank god. But absolutely devastated. They've lost everything else.

Clothes, kids’ things, sentimental items, the kind of everyday stuff you don’t realise means so much until it’s gone.

What’s been especially heartbreaking is losing the irreplaceable things like the kids’ childhood teddies, their little comfort objects they’ve cuddled since they were babies. Those precious pieces of their early years, full of memories and love, are now just gone. It’s the kind of loss that’s hard to put into words.

Their contents will be a total write off, and every single room in their house is destroyed. Luckily they have some sort of insurance but their level of cover, especially for contents is nowhere near enough to cover the total loss on what they've lost.

On top of that, the fire also knocked out power and water to the photo studio, which means my sister can’t run her business right now..

They'll need to miss out on so much work while they figure out what happens next.

Both of them are self-employed. So when work stops, income stops. And right now, they need a bit of breathing room to sort through the mess of this without the added pressure of “how are we going to afford this?”
