Dylan Gray was killed on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in an act of gun violence in our community.
Jacqui and their four sons (ages 7 to 17) are completely shocked at his death and their lives are shaken. They are grieving and have many questions that cannot be answered. They have support from family in the area, their church community, and friends. They are devastated — and these words do not do justice to their pain and grief.
Dylan loved his family fiercely. He loved mountain biking as a family. He loved the outdoors and all the joys and challenges of family camping. Dylan was a committed youth boxing coach to their eldest son, and most recently to the masters athletes in the Spokane boxing community — a second family to him. He was a humbly talented artist, often drawing and painting with their boys, and cooked incredible homemade meals for the family. Most of all, Dylan showed up for the ordinary, irreplaceable moments of being together — and he knew, deeply, that those moments were everything.
We ask you to pray for the repose of Dylan’s soul, and for comfort, steadiness, and healing for Jacqui and her boys in the days, months, and years ahead.
As the family begins to navigate life without Dylan, our community is coming together for the long road ahead. Funds will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, grief counseling and mental health support for their four sons and for Jacqui, and the everyday costs of stability and care for a family of five. Every contribution helps ensure these boys and their mother have what they need — not just today, but in the months and years ahead
“Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
