Support for Jacob’s Family After Passing From Cancer

Donation protected
My name is William and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother-in-law Jacob and my sister Edel.

On February 20, 2026, Jacob David Musukwa passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with gastric cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. A year ago, an upset stomach and other gastric symptoms would forever change Jacob's life. Although diagnosed late with a poor prognosis from most physicians, Jacob never gave up; he fought until his last breath.

Jay was a devoted and loving husband to Edel for over 20 years and a proud father to Brianna (17), Jayden (13), and Jaylen (6). He was a man of strong Christian faith, a dedicated businessman, a fitness enthusiast, and a philanthropist who believed deeply in serving others. He was a pillar in the Dallas Fort Worth community and anyone who ever crossed paths with him. He was known for his contagious smile, welcoming demeanor and non existent dance moves.

Jacob tried everything from chemotherapy and trial medications to holistic medicines and therapies to stay in the fight. Throughout his illness, Jacob fought with strength, dignity, and unwavering faith. Now, as his family navigates this heartbreaking loss, we are coming together to support them during this incredibly difficult time. During this last year, Edel, Jacob's wife, had to take significant time off work to care for Jacob and make all his appointments, causing a significant financial strain. Jacob was the bread winner and this journey has been extremely costly with medical expenses and other unexpected costs.

Your contributions will directly support:

Funeral and Memorial Services: Honoring Jacob’s life and legacy.
Medical Expenses: Offsetting the significant costs of his year-long treatment.
Family Travel: Bringing Jacob’s mother and sister from Zambia to say their final goodbyes.
The Children’s Future: Providing ongoing stability for Brianna, Jayden, and Jaylen.

If you are unable to donate, please know that sharing this or keeping Jacob's family and children in your thoughts and prayers is enough.

No donation is too small. Every contribution and every share makes a difference.

Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and love.
