Jace is four years old. He is bright, funny, and full of energy, with a smile and laugh that can light up a room. Recently, after some concerning symptoms, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. His family’s world changed overnight.
Jace has already undergone surgery. Pathology confirmed medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of childhood brain cancer. He will begin the next phase of treatment out of state, where the family will temporarily relocate for approximately two months. After that, Jace will continue treatment in Colorado for much of the year ahead.
While there is a clear medical plan, the road in front of them will be long and demanding. During this time, Matt and Julie are balancing Jace’s treatment while also caring for their nine-month-old baby at home and continuing to manage work and daily life.
Support from this fundraiser will help ease the many practical challenges that come with a year of intensive treatment. This includes travel and temporary housing during the out-of-state treatment period, transportation and meals while away from home, and basic living needs during that time. It will also help with childcare for both children when Jace requires appointments or hospital stays, as well as support for meals, household help, and day-to-day expenses when the family is back home in Colorado.
The goal is simple: give Matt and Julie the ability to focus on Jace’s care and on their family, rather than the financial and logistical strain that often accompanies long-term medical treatment.
If you feel moved to help, any contribution will make a meaningful difference. Sharing this page or keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers is equally appreciated. The family is deeply grateful for the support and asks for privacy as they take this journey one day at a time.
