Support for Jabari Chapman's Loved Ones

In Loving Memory of Jabari Chapman. It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of my loving husband Jabari. Its still very unbelievable that I am writing this and talking about my husbands passing. My children and I are still in shock and are trying to comprehend everything that has happened over the last 3 months. On January 15, 2025 Jabari was rushed to the Emergency Room and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia a blood cancer. He was admitted to the hospital and spent the next 8 days fighting for his life in the ICU. By the grace of God he made it out of the ICU and onto the cancer floor at UC Davis. He was able to come home on 2/4/25, only to have the cancer come back. He received 3 chemo treatments at the hospital over the last three months and after every treatment the cancer would come back. Him and I literally lived at the hospital for the past 3 months and fought this battle together. We were separated from our 4 children and it was the hardest thing ever. I want to thank all of our family, friends, co workers, church members and others that were praying daily for my husband to be healed. If you all know my husband and myself we are fighters and we Love the Lord very much. On Wednesday 4/16/25 the hospital told us that they had no more treatment to give my husband and they sadly put him on hospice and he passed away on Friday 4/18/25!! It pains me to even write this. We have known each other for over 30 years and were married for 24 years. We have 4 amazing children together, Jabari 18, Layla 15, Urijah 14, and Maliyah 11. These babies are my husbands pride and joy! He was very hands on with them and we homeschooled our children. God asked my husband to buy a country home where we can farm and grow our own food and raise our children in the country. Jabari had given his life to the Lord and we were baptized when we got married in 2001. Jabari is resting in Jesus now and we will see him again very soon when Christ comes back! We hold onto that promise and hope of Christs soon return!
I am setting up this go fund me to help pay for medical and funeral expenses for my husband. We plan on having a funeral in northern Ca where we live and that is where he will be laid to rest and we will also have a celebration of life and memorial service in Los Angeles too where Jabari is from and where he has many friends and family. We thank you for your donation and for your continued prayers for my children and I as we navigate this world without the Love of our Life.
