On May 27, 2021, My Sister, Ivis and her husband Alberto’s life was forever changed. Alberto, was diagnosed with Stage 4, Prostate Cancer and had to undergo emergency surgery. The cancer has also spread to his spine and other areas of his body. For the last couple of months Alberto had been feeling a bit sick with flu like symptoms and what felt like severe allergies that cause random swelling on different parts of his body. He visited the Dr., on several occasions but it was always treated as a simple flu or allergies. Never in their wildest dreams did anyone think that these episodes would lead to the horrible diagnosis of Stage 4 prostate cancer.
Due to Alberto feeling sick he has not been able to work to full capacity being that his line of work is handyman services and demands physical labor as well as running their small business buying and selling gold. As for my sister who is the core financial support of the family as a REALTOR, she has not been able to work for the past week and will not be able to work to full capacity during Alberto’s Chemotherapy Treatments and recovery.
I have asked Ivis to allow me to reach out to our friends and family to bond together and help support them offset medical bills for his treatments. We understand that everyone has busy lives and their own expenses and financial obligations but any little bit will help. We also ask the you please keep them and their family in your prayers and well wishes.
Please remember to listen to your body, make sure that if something does’t feel right it probably isn’t! Talk to your Dr’s and insist that they listen to you! Remember to always let your loved ones know how much you love them, life is so fragile and it can change in a minute. ❤️
