My mom, Irma Garcia, was the most beautiful, kind woman you could meet. Her smile lit up the room. She fought so hard throughout her life, no matter what was thrown at her. Every token of love or kindness, every gift, was deeply appreciated by her, and she probably still has it ❤️
Earlier this summer, she began to get sick, not feeling well, tired, unable to eat solid food, and then severe pain in her abdomen.
As time passed, she continued to get weaker, was unable to walk any longer, and there was an overall decline in her health. Doctors discovered a large tumor in her pancreas, and through biopsy, found it was pancreatic cancer. Further testing found it had metastasized, and there was a tumor in her liver.
In February, her health declined further, and we knew she wouldn’t be able to fight much longer. We held out hope, but she was tired and didn’t want to hurt anymore and just wanted to be comfortable.
On Saturday, February 25 at 2:25 a.m., surrounded by the love of her life, Coykie, her granddaughters Genesis and Amariah, as I laid with her and held onto her, she took her last breath.
This is very difficult for us to ask, but we need assistance to cover her services and burial. We appreciate any help that can be given.
Any money beyond what we need will be given to Coykie so that he won’t have any burden on him and can mourn my mom and not worry about anything else.
