Iris is a 6-year-old Black Labrador who was injured Saturday by a neighbor's dog. The altercation left her with a very large open wound on her chest that required emergency veterinary care. Due to the severity of her wound, Iris was placed under anesthesia and received extensive stitching to repair the damage. She was then kept overnight to monitor her condition.

Iris' owner, Susan, has 3 other fur babies that she lovingly takes care of by herself. All four of the pups are family, literally: Mama Iris, Daddy Echo, and 2 of their 8 offspring. If you know anything about Susan, you would know she would be the first to help anyone's animal in need and also, she would never ask for help.
