David was a truly special person, known for his servant’s heart and a smile that could light up any room. His faith was not just something he talked about—it was how he lived every day. As an active member of their church, David served in the music ministry, sharing his gifts and helping lead others in worship. He showed love through his actions, caring for the sick and offering comfort and strength to those in need, up until the very day he was murdered. David’s love extended deeply to his wife, his children, grandchildren, and friends. He was a blessing to everyone who knew him. One of the most powerful examples of his compassion was his relationship with a United States Veteran that was paranoid schizophrenia that lived next door. David was the only person who visited, cared for, and supported this neighbor. He repeatedly took him to Doctor’s appointments, cared for his dog, offered friendship when no one else would, and filled his fridge with food when he couldn't do it for himself. Tragically, the neighbor suffered a psychotic episode and killed David while David was changing the batteries of his fire alarm. The neighbor later killed himself. Now, David’s widow is facing the unimaginable pain of losing him forever while struggling to stay in the home they shared. Despite her grief, she continues to serve in the church ministry, carrying on David’s legacy of faith and service. The funds raised will help his wife remain in their home and will provide much-needed stability as she navigates this unimaginably difficult time. Your support will mean the world to her and honor the memory of a man who selflessly gave so much to others.
