My name is Indira Vidales Lature. I am 37 years old, originally from Peru, a teacher, and most importantly, a proud single mother to my 11-year-old son.

Since the day my son was born, my greatest purpose in life has been to give him the best of me: love, support, stability, education, and a home filled with warmth and faith. Every step I have taken has been for him.

Two years ago, I made the decision to move back to the United States to build a better future for us. I had lived here before while attending college with my family, so starting over from zero did not scare me, although it came with many challenges. Through every difficult moment, God has always held my hand and blessed my path.

Life tested me deeply in 2017 when my father was diagnosed with aggressive lung cancer. A year and a half later, we lost him. Watching his strength during his battle taught me what courage truly means. I miss him every single day, and I carry his strength with me now more than ever.

Today, I begin my own fight.

I was recently diagnosed with Stage 2A Grade 3 breast cancer. My cancer is aggressive and has spread beyond the original tumor into my lymph nodes. Thankfully, it has not spread further.

I do not know exactly what is coming next, but I am choosing faith over fear. I am not afraid of this battle, but I am worried about being able to continue working and providing for my home while going through treatment. I am still working part-time at school, doing everything I can to continue moving forward, but I know there will be moments when treatment may slow me down physically and financially.

That is why I created this page.

Every donation will help cover living expenses, bills, food, transportation, and the daily needs of my son and our home while I go through chemotherapy and treatment. My goal is simply to survive this season of life with strength, dignity, and hope, trusting in God’s plan for me and my family.

I know this journey will not be easy, but I also know I will not face it alone.

Mi nombre es Indira Vidales Lature. Tengo 37 años, soy peruana, profesora y, más importante aún, una orgullosa madre soltera de un niño de 11 años.

Desde el día en que nació mi hijo, mi mayor propósito en la vida ha sido darle lo mejor de mí: amor, apoyo, estabilidad, educación y un hogar lleno de calidez y fe. Cada paso que he dado ha sido por él.

Hace dos años tomé la decisión de regresar a los Estados Unidos para construir un mejor futuro para nosotros. Ya había vivido aquí anteriormente mientras estudiaba en la universidad junto a mi familia, así que empezar de cero no me daba miedo, aunque sí trajo muchos desafíos. En cada momento difícil, Dios siempre ha tomado mi mano y ha bendecido mi camino.

La vida me puso a prueba profundamente en el 2017, cuando a mi padre le diagnosticaron un agresivo cáncer de pulmón. Un año y medio después, lo perdimos. Ver su fortaleza durante su batalla me enseñó lo que realmente es la fuerza y las ganas de vivir. Lo extraño todos los días y hoy llevo su fuerza conmigo más que nunca.

Hoy comienzo mi propia lucha.

Recientemente fui diagnosticada con cáncer de mama en etapa 2A, grado 3. Mi cáncer es agresivo y se ha extendido más allá del tumor original hacia los ganglios linfáticos. Gracias a Dios, no se ha propagado más allá de eso.

No sé exactamente qué viene ahora, pero estoy eligiendo la fe por encima del miedo. No le tengo miedo a esta batalla, pero sí me preocupa poder seguir trabajando y sosteniendo mi hogar mientras atravieso el tratamiento. Continúo trabajando medio tiempo en la escuela, haciendo todo lo posible por seguir adelante, pero sé que habrá momentos en los que el tratamiento podría afectarme física y económicamente.

Por eso he creado esta página.

Cada donación ayudará a cubrir gastos del hogar, cuentas, comida, transporte y las necesidades diarias de mi hijo y nuestro hogar mientras atravieso la quimioterapia y el tratamiento. Mi meta es simplemente sobrevivir esta etapa de la vida con fortaleza, dignidad y esperanza, confiando en el plan de Dios para mí y mi familia.

Sé que este camino no será fácil, pero también sé que no lo enfrentaré sola.
