Support for Ike

As many of you know, our parents are fortunate to often enjoy traveling back to our dad’s home state of Hawaii. This past Wednesday, May 23rd, as their most recent trip was coming to a close, we received the frightening news that our dad was in the midst of a life threatening medical emergency. He was life flighted late Wednesday night from the big island of Hawaii to the Queens Medical Center on Oahu where it was learned that he had suffered an acute subdural hematoma. He underwent an emergency craniotomy procedure- which we are incredibly lucky, relieved, and grateful to say that he is recovering exceedingly well from.

As we come to terms with these scary and sudden unforeseen circumstances there are many questions left unanswered. What we do know however, is that our amazing and resilient dad has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

I, Whitney Queral, have started this account for our parents to help cover the unexpected hotel, food, and transportation expenses that are necessary to allow our mom to stay by our dad’s side during this process. Any funds raised by this will be transferred directly to our mom.
