Support Ida's Recovery and Chelsey & Nathan's Loss

On the morning of May 16th, at around 11:30 a.m., our family was blessed with a miracle. My sister-in-law, Chelsey, and my brother welcomed their precious Mono Mono twins into the world to the empowering tune of Imagine Dragons' "Believer" playing in the background. At 11:32 a.m., two beautiful baby girls made their debut: Ida Sawyer, weighing 1 lb 14 oz, and Adyson Yvonne, at 3 lb 4 oz.

Though their arrival filled our hearts with immense joy, both Ida and Adyson are currently in the NICU, where they will need to stay for the next few months.

Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, Adyson passed away on Saturday, May 25th, at 4:41 p.m. The doctors did everything they could to stabilize her, but she stopped responding to medicine. Chelsey and Nathan made the difficult decision to remove her from the machines and let her pass peacefully.

Chelsey has been discharged from the hospital, but Ida will need to stay in the NICU for the next few months. The cost of medical care, combined with everyday expenses, is overwhelming as the family focuses on Ida's recovery and mourning the loss of Adyson.

The drive to the hospital from their home is 30 minutes without traffic and an hour with. Nate and Chelsey are visiting each day to spend time with Ida.
