Howard Ricker (Rick) has always been a familiar face in our town, working as a gas station attendant and making friends with everyone who stopped by. Despite ongoing hip and knee issues that limited his hours, Rick’s kindness and positive spirit have touched so many people in our community. He’s the type of person who always has a smile and a kind word, no matter what he’s facing.

Recently, Rick suffered a serious setback—he shattered his femur and is now undergoing surgery, followed by a lengthy stay in rehab. With a recovery expected to take at least 12 weeks, Rick is unable to work and is facing medical bills and everyday living expenses. As his family, I’m doing everything I can to support him, but the financial burden is overwhelming.
