Dear friends, family, clients and supporters of local Boston businesses,
In the past few weeks, my small dog walking company Hounds in the Hub has lost 90 percent of its business due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Clients have had to cancel walks and dog-sitting requests until a “to be determined” date because they have been forced to work from home. We have already lost at least $7000 in revenue and we anticipate losing a lot more business over the next few weeks and months as well.
As a business that relies on providing a service in order to be paid, my employees and I are really struggling financially. My employees rely on the money they make working for Hounds in the Hub to pay for things such as rent and tuition bills.
While I know everyone is struggling during this difficult time, I’m asking for as much support as possible to help keep my business afloat and to allow me to continue to pay my amazing employees. Small businesses are being hit particularly hard during this stressful time and I am hoping that if I am able to raise enough money, I can use any extra money raised to support other small companies in Boston as well. No donation is too small and anything you can spare will help.
Thank you all so much in advance for your help,
Mary Johnson
