Hi, my name is Jess Nolan, and I’m setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of my good friends, Honey and Solomon, who were impacted by the ice storm that hit Nashville over the weekend. Honey, a talented comedian, moved to town about a year ago from Asheville after Hurricane Helene devastated her city. She was impacted by that storm and moved for a chance to start fresh here in Nashville. She was looking for an open room early last year, and I was able to connect her with my friend Solomon, a wonderful local musician and artist, who was looking for a roommate. They’ve been living in the Inglewood neighborhood in East Nashville.

Honey and Solomon lost power at the house they rent on Sunday as temperatures continued to drop through the night. They left the property to find shelter. When they returned to see if power had been restored, they discovered that a pipe had burst in the upstairs neighbor’s unit exploding huge amounts of water into the downstairs level of the house they rent. This incident has ruined much of their property that will need to be replaced.

Luckily, Honey and Solomon have quickly been able to find a potential place available to rent on the street they are currently on, and they need to put a security deposit and first months rent down for this place tomorrow Friday, January 30. The total for this and covering their most immediate basic needs is about $7000.

Let’s come together as a community and help these incredible artists move unexpectedly and replace their belongings in this very difficult time. Any donation goes a long way and sharing this link is very helpful! Sending warm wishes to anyone else dealing with the awful effects of this storm.
