Support for Homer’s Brain surgeries and recovery
Donation protected
Hey ya’ll, I appreciate you taking a moment to read my dad’s story. My family and I took my dad to the emergency room on Saturday, February 24, 2024. The outcome was he needed a neurologist and there was none on call and he was then rush by ambulance to Lafayette, La to receive immediate brain surgery. What they had found a blood mass, blood clots and tumor on his brain that needed to be removed immediately. Once he received the surgery all seemed to be going well, however, after over a week in the ICU it became a different story. His awareness and memory have declined. He had to go into an after care facility and now, three months later, he is back in the hospital having an additional surgery. A shunt and drain are going to be placed in while a small mass will also be removed because of swelling and bleeding on the brain that has not gone away. He will currently be in the hospital for at least 14 days after surgery. He is not responsive at the moment and is also fighting pneumonia.
The money that is donated will go to his medical expenses, recovery process and travel expenses for my mother and his wife Carol. Any amount you are willing to donate is so greatly appreciated. If you are not able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well. God bless
