I am trying to raise money for my mother's dog Hershey. My mother is a kind, caring, and giving person! She has been through so much. She never asks for help, especially financially. Hershey is a special dog and has helped my mom in so many ways with all she has been through since losing Shane.

Hershey has been to three vets in 3 weeks, which have cost over $2500. Unfortunately, none of them have been able to fully diagnose his problems. He has been on a plethora of medications.

He has had medicated shampoos and oatmeal shampoos.

Now, he needs to have an ultra sound of his spleen which they "think" might be enlarged. The ultra sound will be a minimum of $1,000. If they can't figure it out, they are talking of doing exploratory surgery, which they estimated to be "in the thousands". He has had numerous x-rays, blood work and lotions, and powders.

The rash finally starting to clear up, but he is still sick and no one can figure out what is wrong. We even had blood work sent to the University of Michigan.

He is not running a fever, has pretty much stopped eating, is drinking fluids but is steadily losing weight.

I should add, he started losing weight while he WAS eating. It's only been the last five days he's stopped eating.

He has lost 17 pounds in the past week, a total of close to 30 lbs in the past six months.

He went to Charleston on May 2 which is 2 and a half hours one way.

They both have jobs, but the bills are piling up.
