With broken hearts, we share the loss of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, friend and RaRa family member, Carol Skadauski, who passed away on Friday.

She was a fighter—strong, funny, loving, and deeply devoted to the people in her life. She lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis and, after devastating complications, underwent a leg amputation in August. In the months that followed, she faced repeated denials for a properly fitted wheelchair and a prosthetic leg—basic medical supports she desperately needed to live with dignity and independence.

These barriers took an enormous toll on her physical and emotional well-being.

Just two years ago, she reunited with her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, and they built a beautiful marriage filled with hope and joy. She was also a devoted mother to three adult sons, who now face an unimaginable loss.

This fundraiser is to support her husband and sons with funeral and memorial expenses, immediate living costs, and the financial burden left behind during this sudden and heartbreaking time. Any remaining funds will be used to honor her memory and help her family begin healing.

She deserved compassion. She deserved care. She deserved dignity in life and in death.

This fundraiser is one small way we can offer care, support, and compassion where systems fell short—by surrounding her husband and sons with love as they grieve and begin to find their footing again.
