We are back again with another ask for help! The recent storm back in March of this year did damage to our family cemetery. Once we got the trees cleared, I found that my 3rd great grandparents' headstone that we repaired in 2017 has now been broken in half. We have contacted Karen Gillespie of Gillespie Monuments in Marion, Va. to get a quote on ordering a new headstone. It will take 6 weeks to get it ordered and set in on the hill. The cost for it is $700. Anything left over or donated will be given to Charlie Barnette for the amazing upkeep of our family’s cemetery. It breaks my heart that Grandmammy and Granddaddy Henderson’s stone has been destroyed as my great grandmother Vivian and my Aunt Dopey have always made sure that their headstone was cleaned off and new flowers put on.
