To our extended Tatnall Family:
When all options are exhausted, difficult decisions must be made. THIS is one of those difficult decisions.
A small group of us are are writing to ask for help for a friend and fellow Tatnallite. This isn’t something that she would want and not something we want to be doing, but this is where we are...
We are asking for the help from a broader audience to pitch in. By all measures, this will be a short term need, but nonetheless it is urgent.
Hellie Ketcham - our dear friend is in need. She has been working until recently when she was injured on the job and is currently awaiting word on whether she will receive Workers Compensation. Although this isn’t guaranteed, we are very hopeful it will come through. But, even then, it will not cover her expenses.
Hellie has been the sole caregiver for her mother for the last number of years. Her mother lived with her until her death a few weeks ago. Till then, with her mom's help, Hellie had been able to help make ends meet.
Hellie is now working on multiple avenues to get herself back on her feet, but at this juncture, the clock is ticking and she has rent and a car payment to make, along with healthcare premiums which she needs to help her in the recovery from her injury. She currently does not have funds to cover these bills and other bills. She is currently working with creditors to help her work out a plan to cover those.
We are pretty sure that a few months of funds to cover the most important things - as she looks for work - will help her keep her home, her car, and her healthcare, not to mention other normal everyday expenses, like food.
Anything you can do to help her get back on her feet would be very much appreciated.
If there is any good news, it would be that she is determined to get back to caring for herself and we hope this boost will help her get there quickly.
All donations will go directly to Hellie. Any contribution will greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to pass along this private message to others who may know Hellie and be willing to help. Please use discretion and only private message people or invite them to join this group, as we do not want to see this all over everyone's feeds on Facebook. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE ON FACEBOOK!
Thank you, again, from the bottom of our hearts,
Susan Aubuchon, Colleen Quinn and Betsy Schwartz
