When this fund was created, we were focused on Helga’s recovery. After meeting with doctors, Helga’s family has made the painful decision to follow Helga’s wishes, withdraw care and let her go peacefully. We are shifting this fund into a memorial fund to help with end-of-life expenses, family support, and to honor Helga’s biggest pride: providing for her children and grandchildren.
