Heidi is my best friend from grade school, and she’s always been the kind of person who lights up a room. She’s been married to Ben for 20 years, and together they have three wonderful children: Andrew (21), Leah (16), and Alayna (11). In 2019, Heidi noticed a spot on the bottom of her foot, which turned out to be melanoma. Since then, she’s faced her diagnosis with incredible strength and courage, supported by her loving family and friends.

Despite ongoing treatments, Heidi’s melanoma has progressed to stage IV. Over the past two months, she’s endured multiple hospitalizations due to complications from the metastatic disease. The toll on her health has made it impossible for her to work, and the mounting medical bills have created a significant financial strain on her family. Through it all, Heidi remains positive and determined, never letting her spirit waver.

Heidi is truly one of a kind—outgoing, caring, and funny. Her love for music is like no other, and she’s often caught breaking out in dance and singing, whether she’s in a crowded store or on the street. Even in the face of these challenges, she never complains and continues to inspire everyone around her.
