In February, our father, Hector Duran, was detained by ICE. This has been a heartbreaking and emotionally exhausting time for our entire family as we work to navigate a complex and uncertain situation. With our father's full knowledge and authorization, we are sharing this openly because we believe in the power of community and because we need your help.

Many of you know Hector personally. For years, he has been a faithful and giving presence at St. Monica, whether giving of his time to help those in need, showing up to serve others, or simply being a warm and dependable servant to so many in our parish and school community. His dedication to our community has never been about recognition; it has always come from a place of genuine love and faith. He is the kind of person who quietly makes things better for everyone around him, and our community is a reflection of that spirit.
