Our family is facing the hardest reality we have ever had to accept. My mom, Heather, was diagnosed with cancer, and we were devastated to learn that her tumor is inoperable. We were originally given a heartbreaking timeline of 12–18 months in November 2025, but things have progressed much faster than we ever imagined. Heather is now officially on hospice and is living through what we believe are her final moments. Our family is trying to navigate the unimaginable—watching someone we love so deeply reach the end of her life while doing everything we can to keep her comfortable, surrounded by love, and never feeling alone. Heather is so much more than her cancer. She is an incredible mom, wife, grandma, and friend. She has always been the person who shows up for everyone else, offering love, comfort, laughter, and support whenever someone needed her. Now, we want to be the ones who show up for her. Heather is also a devoted mother to her autistic daughter, who depends on her for love, care, and support. One of the most heartbreaking parts of this journey has been knowing that Heather can no longer care for her daughter the way she always has. Our family is doing everything possible to make sure her daughter continues to have the stability, care, and love she needs. Adding to the financial strain, Heather does not have health insurance. The costs associated with her cancer, hospice care, medications, transportation, caregiving, household needs, and everything else that comes with this devastating situation have placed an enormous burden on our family. Right now, our greatest wish is simply to be together as a family and spend these precious final moments with Heather. We want to sit beside her, hold her hand, tell her how much we love her, and make sure she is surrounded by the people who mean the most to her. Any support will help ease some of the financial stress our family is facing and allow us to focus on what truly matters right now—Heather, her comfort, and making the most of the time we have left with her. If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this fundraiser, sending a prayer, or simply keeping Heather and our family in your thoughts means more than we could ever express. Thank you for taking the time to read Heather's story and for showing our family kindness during one of the hardest moments of our lives. We are forever grateful for every donation, share, prayer, and kind thought.
