Heather and Jon have been facing an incredibly challenging time. Nearly four weeks ago, Heather was airlifted to a larger hospital that is better equipped to handle NICU needs because their baby boy, Syrus, was coming early. Since then, they have been by his side in the NICU, far from home and the comfort of their daily routine. The emotional and physical toll of this experience has been immense, but the financial strain has added another layer of stress to an already difficult situation.

During this time, Heather and Jon have had to cover the costs of gas, food, and lodging in Wichita, all while managing the mounting medical expenses and regular bills that don’t pause just because life has been turned upside down. Being away from home and unable to work has made it even harder to keep up with these ongoing costs. Every day, their focus is on supporting baby Syrus and making sure he gets the best possible care, but the financial burden is heavy.
