Hartley Sauer & Family Support

Hartley Ann Sauer was born on June 21, 2021 in Houston, Texas. When her parents Bethany and Preston Sauer went in for a routine 33-week ultrasound, they learned that their baby girl was sick and needed to be brought into the world several weeks early in order to survive. Her chances were slim but the doctors were able to help her breathe until large amounts of fluid were drained from her abdomen.  Hartley was then flown via Life Flight to the Texas Medical Center, where she received brain surgery to drain fluid from her brain. There are many unknowns in Hartley's future, but these are a few of the amazing ways God has been healing and providing for Hartley during  her first weeks of life. 

This will be a long road. The Sauers are now in a period of waiting and decision-making while they see how Hartley progresses. They expect to be in the NICU for several weeks or months while Hartley's caretakers assess her health and monitor her progress.

This family is incredibly strong and unwavering in their faith in Jesus. They have hope and peace about God's plan for Hartley's life in the midst of all they are facing. Their family and friends have prayed continuously for Hartley in the early days of her precious life and now have an opportunity to support the Sauers with financial resources as they make decisions for Hartley's future.
