Hi everyone, I never imagined I would be writing something like this. My dad, Harold Ralston, was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, and our world was turned upside down overnight. My dad is a loving father and an amazing grandfather. For the past 45 years, he has worked tirelessly as a long-haul truck driver, doing whatever it took to provide for his family. Because he spent his life on the road working, he does not have health insurance. He has always been the one helping others—never asking for help himself. This diagnosis came suddenly and has made it impossible for him to continue working. His income is now completely gone, while medical bills and everyday expenses are already piling up. He needs to get to the oncologist as soon as he can, and his job disqualified him to get medicaid for the month of January. We can start that process over again in February, but it’s a long process in itself. Right now, we are asking for help on his behalf. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical bills, living expenses, and keeping our family afloat during this incredibly difficult time.
